Sometimes people write things about me and the projects I work on.
(From my Tumblr.)
Here's a sampling of what they say:
MTV's Valemont University will be seen as a milestone in transmedia storytelling due to its intense audience participatory elements.
From reading about the Valemont experience, it is clear that much of its success can be attributed to the work of Nina Bargiel. Clearly a gifted storyteller and extraordinary improviser, Bargiel was responsible for keeping the story going through twitter and other platforms. When one considers that this required her to interact with fans in real time, while switching between several different character voices, the scale of her task (and skills) should be clear.

But what’s most notable about the show is the ARG component....the material is dense, fun to explore and well-developed....This is the sort of transformative experience that separates TV shows you can watch on the Internet from truly new media.

If you are a producer of new media, transmedia or any kind of traditional media, I'll let you in on a little secret: Nina is your secret weapon. Not only is she a fast, savvy scriptwriter with an impressive range, she understands -- better than almost anyone I know -- how to utilize all the online tools and platforms to optimize true multi-platform storytelling. Add to that skillset a tireless work ethic along with a winning personality, and you have the perfect hire for any project. My only regret in writing this recommendation is that Nina won't be available next time I desperately need her...
